Special Statement on Science

Open Bible

All the PX science teachers hold to a young-earth creationist position. But we recognise that many Christians hold differing views on the topic of origins. At PX Classrooms, we seek to train young scientists to evaluate critically all theories of origins, to understand the complexities and limitations of science, and to avoid presenting as ‘proof’ that which is simply evidence. We demonstrate how to distinguish between observational science and speculative historical science. We teach how to evaluate different theories based on their merits and flaws. Through this, we aim to equip students to work confidently in all scientific disciplines without being shaken or intimidated by the currently prevailing (and unproven) atheistic and materialist narratives. We believe that how evidence is interpreted is shaped by the worldview and (scientifically unprovable) presuppositions of the scientist. At PX, we teach from the presupposition that the Bible record is true, as it is God’s inspired and infallible Word. With historic and orthodox confessions of faith, we therefore affirm, as scientists, that in the beginning God created the world out of nothing, and all therein, in the space of six days, and all very good.
