LNAT Preparation Course (The Law National Admissions Test)

Course Overview

This PX service comprises a structured course of private tuition and coaching for The Law National Aptitude Test (LNAT).

This PX service helps suitable A-Level students considering taking Law at degree level by enabling them to excel in the LNAT, so that a place at their chosen university is secured.

Students should individually apply for this Pearson managed course. The LNAT is designed to test the student’s high-level reasoning skills. The LNAT helps students to understand if Law is the right career path for them and helps universities to check that the student will be able to succeed on a Law course. The universities to which the student has applied via UCAS are able to see the scores before the student can.

Course Method

Tuition focuses on developing the student’s skills in the following areas:

• understanding and interpreting information
• inductive and deductive reasoning
• other reasoning skills
• analysing complex information and drawing sound conclusions.

The course starts with an introduction to reasoning and logic and to the terminology which the test will use.

The course then moves on to engaging with LNAT past papers. Detailed feedback is given on how certain answers are correct and other multiple-choice options false (LNAT Section A).

In the third part of the course the student is asked to submit practice essays, which are then marked and discussed in relation to the detailed feedback given (LNAT Section B).
