Course Overview
This course covers a simple chronological overview of British History from a Christian perspective, and covers all the main events since early times. This is ideal for Year 7 and 8 students who have a keen interest in History and would like to pursue it for GCSE. Although the main focus is on fun and practical activities, we also begin looking at sources and interpretations and other skills needed for GCSE.
Course Method
This course is taught using Google Meet and Google Classroom. PowerPoints and any other resources needing printing are shared prior to the lesson. A recommended reading list will be shared prior to the course starting but nothing will be compulsory.
Homework will be optional and usually involves a practical or creative activity. Any written homework will be marked by the teacher giving written feedback with guidance leading towards GCSE skills.
Lessons are friendly and interactive with lots of discussion and debate but no obligation to say anything. A recording is made of each lesson and upon request can be made temporarily available to a student who missed the lesson.
