Key Stage 3 Chemistry – Term 1

Course Overview

This course covers the most important content and essential skills for KS3-level Chemistry. It is ideal preparation for the PX Classroom IGCSE Chemistry course. It is a one-year course and does not require any prior knowledge.

Course Method

Class notes are distributed in advance and are filled in during the class. No textbook is required.

Optional homework assignments, home experiments, and further reading are set each week to challenge those who wish to dig deeper and to consolidate their learning.

Lessons are friendly, interactive, and focus on thinking skills. Videos of relevant practical experiments are watched and discussed during the class. A video recording is made of each lesson (with only the teacher visible) and upon request it can be made temporarily available to a student who missed the lesson.

Course Details

Term 1 comprises 14 weekly lessons. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes.

This PX Classroom is held on Tuesdays at 10.15am (London time zone), starting from Tuesday, 3rd September 2024. There will be no lesson during the half-term week which commences 28th October. The last lesson is due to be on 10th December 2024.
