IGCSE Spanish (2028 exam) – Term 1 (Sept. 2026)

Important Note on Payments

This PX Classroom will only take place if a sufficient number of students reserve a place. To reserve a place, submit your order for this course as if you were going to buy it, but select 'Direct Bank Transfer' (not card payment) and only transfer the money much later once the Teacher has confirmed to you that the course will indeed take place (Do not create a new order in order to pay as that will purchase a second place on the course!). If the course does not run, there will be nothing to pay and your order will simply be cancelled.

Course Overview

This course covers the content for Cambridge (CAIE) specifications. It is a two-year course and assumes KS3-level or equivalent knowledge (please check with the Teacher before enrolling). It is the ideal preparation for the PX A-Level Spanish Classroom.

Course Method

Lessons are interactive in order to develop the four core skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Class notes are distributed in advance (when required) and are filled in during the class.

Homework is set from the current CAIE coursebook which must be procured in advance (Cambridge IGCSE Spanish Student Book Fourth Edition, Hodder Education; ISBN 9781036019778).

Homework should take the average student 90 to 120 minutes to complete but also includes optional assignments for extra practice.

Homework consists of both self-marked and teacher-marked assignments. Students will be expected to record and learn topic-based vocabulary each week.

Course Details

Term 1 comprises 26 twice-weekly lessons. Each lesson lasts 60 minutes.

This PX Classroom is held on Wednesdays at 10.30am and Fridays at 9am (London time zone), starting from Wednesday, 9th September 2026. There will be no lessons on 21st, 23rd, 28th, or 30th October. The last lesson is due to be on Wednesday, 18th December 2026.
