Course Overview
This course covers the content for Cambridge (CAIE) specifications. It is a two-year course and assumes KS3-level or equivalent knowledge (please check with the Teacher before enrolling). It is the ideal preparation for the PX A-Level Spanish Classroom.
Course Method
Lessons are interactive in order to develop the four core skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Class notes are distributed in advance (when required) and are filled in during the class.
Homework is set from the current CAIE coursebook which must be procured in advance (Cambridge IGCSE Spanish Student Book Third Edition, Hodder Education, 2019; ISBN 9781510447578; digital edition ISBN 9781398329539).
Homework should take the average student 90 to 120 minutes to complete but also includes optional assignments for extra practice.
Homework consists of both self-marked and teacher-marked assignments. Students will be expected to record and learn topic-based vocabulary each week.
Course Details
Term 2 comprises 21 lessons. Each lesson lasts 60 minutes.
This PX Classroom is held on Mondays and Wednesdays at 3pm (London time zone), starting from Wednesday, 22nd April 2026. There will be no lessons on 25th or 27th May. The last lesson is due to be on Wednesday 8th July 2026.
