IGCSE French (2028 exam) – Term 1 (Sept. 2026)

Important Note on Payments

To reserve a place, submit your order for this course as if you were going to buy it, but select ‘Direct Bank Transfer’ (not card payment) and only transfer the money much later once the Teacher has confirmed to you that the course will indeed take place (Do not create a new order in order to pay as that will purchase a second place on the course!). If the course does not run, there will be nothing to pay and your order will simply be cancelled.

Course Overview

This two-year course covers all content for the Pearson Edexcel IGCSE French specifications. Time is given in Terms 5 & 6 for exam preparation. It assumes KS3-level or equivalent knowledge. Learning a foreign language can be daunting, so this PX Classroom aims to create a supportive environment with clear, structured, grammatical instruction.

Course Method

This course follows the content of the current Pearson Edexcel IGCSE French student book which must be purchased in advance either in print or digital form (ISBN 9781292306179). Lessons are lively and interactive with lots of opportunities to practise the four core skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Through this approach, students become well prepared for the IGCSE exam.

Homework is set from the textbook with weekly grammatical exercises (self-marked) and skills-based tasks with teacher feedback via Google Classroom. Students will be expected to record and learn topic-based vocabulary each week. The weekly home-study normally takes about 1 to 1.5 hours to complete.

Free marking of past test papers is included in the lesson price for Terms 5 and 6.

Individual speaking practice lessons can be purchased from PX in Term 6.

Course Details

Term 1 comprises 14 weekly lessons. Each lesson lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes with a short break in the middle.

This PX Classroom is held on Tuesdays at 10.30am (London time zone), starting from Tuesday, 1st September 2026. There will be no lessons on 20th October. The last lesson is due to be on 8th December 2026.
