A-Level Mathematics (2027 exam) – Term 3b (April 2026)

Important note

Term 3b is for students taking the full A-Level exam in 2027. Purchase Term 3a if the student only intends to achieve the AS-Level (2026 exam).

Course Overview

Terms 3b to 6 of this course cover the full content of the A2 component of the Edexcel A-Level Mathematics specification. It is intended for students who are already familiar with the content covered in the PX AS-Level Mathematics Classroom (Terms 1 & 2).

The PX A2 Mathematics Classroom provides live teaching and workshop support with content that is designed to meet the particular needs of the students. There are two classes per week of 90 minutes each. The emphasis is on thinking mathematically and developing a “toolbox” of different approaches to problem-solving. The course uses past-paper questions throughout to improve exam technique and familiarise students with the format of the final assessment.

Course Method

Students will need a scientific calculator and their own copy of the following:

• A-Level Mathematics Edexcel Complete Revision & Practice (CGP; ISBN 9781782948087)
• A-Level Mathematics Edexcel Exam Practice Workbook (CGP; ISBN 9781782947400).

Home study tasks are set each week using the books and the Integral website. Each week there is also an optional Drop-In Workshop session to provide extra help to those who would like it. There is no extra charge for this workshop.

The lessons can be temporarily recorded on video for students who miss the lesson due to sickness, provided the Teacher is informed before the lesson. Please note that, for an improved learning experience, students are asked to turn their cameras on during the lesson. If there are reasons why this would not be appropriate, please contact the Teacher directly.

Course Details

Term 3b should only be purchased by students who intend to work towards the full A-Level.

Term 3b comprises 24 lessons (two per week for twelve weeks). Each lesson lasts 90 minutes with a short break in the middle.

This PX Classroom is held on Tuesdays at 11.30am and Wednesdays at 10.30am (London time zone), starting from Tuesday, 14th April 2026. There will be no lessons on 26th and 27th May during the half-term break. The last lessons are due to be on 7th and 8th July. The optional Drop-In Workshop is held from 2.30 to 3pm on Mondays during term time.
